This April will be when Greek’s Playland reopens in Monroe, NJ. In an era where it seems that most of the true New Jersey landmarks are closing to make way for condos or corporate restaurants that no one cares about – this is great news. This park is made for special needs children and adults. Many weddings and school trips happened here.
I have personally never been here, so you’ll have to take NJ.com’s description of the park. They refer to it as, “part playground, part amusement park, part ongoing art installation”.
One thing that I noticed is that they have a Haunted House. I’ll have to go in April and see what that is all about of course.
You can get more information from the (happily successful) video that was made in the effort to save this park. The Haunted House appears in the video as well:
I love to see when people do good things for others. This looks like just that. I am so happy that this park was saved. We certainly don’t need any more condos or bullshit in New Jersey.
