My haunter friends will recognize J. Michael Roddy from his tenure at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights and as the writer of Blood Relations as Busch Gardens Howl O Scream 2 years ago. What has he been doing recently? He just let me know about MonsterKIDS – his upcoming documentary that I believe is important in our current cultural climate.

With Halloween seemingly facing more pressure than ever from those who think it’s “too weird” and some theme park guests complaining even about Disney’s family-friendly Haunted Mansion, it’s about time someone talked about why horror is awesome.
