For Halloween 2012, Universal Studios Japan did a Resident Evil (Biohazard) theme. Details here. Check it, son:
Things just got more “real”. No pun intended. Universal Studios Japan just opened a Resident Evil attraction / haunted house called “Biohazard the Real”.
Park guests get an infection meter and a gun. They then have to basically make it through the attraction alive. I have heard that it’s incredibly difficult. Just like the game you will have limited ammo and things will be absolutely insane.
I found the following pictures of this attraction online unattributed to a source. If you are the source can you please contact me so that I can give you credit and proper linkage?

I was there two weeks before they opened the doors, but, unfortunately, there was nothing to see. This game was reportedly so difficult that the “escape alive rate” was near 0%, which kept people coming back to try again and again. Guests enjoyed being able to control their own fate and shoot at both live actors and animatronic creatures, so I expect it to return again in July, which is the start of Japan’s haunted attraction season.
