Keansburg Park in Keansburg, NJ will soft open this weekend. Keansburg has been family-owned for 3 generations and they are trying their best to get it back together after Hurricane Sandy.
I go to Keansburg every year because they had things you could see no where else. The star was the vintage Spook House that dates back to the ’30s. It was the world’s oldest operating Pretzel installation.
Keansburg was a small park with unique gems. I had serious designs on buying the Spook House or paying for the restoration when I could afford to do things like that in the future.
I contacted them awhile back and was not able to get in touch with anyone regarding the status of the Spook House, but you can clearly see in this video that it was destroyed.

I am so upset over this that I’m actually crying. Sorry, but you found my weak spot. I believe very strongly in the conservation and enjoyment of vintage rides – especially vintage haunted rides. There are not that many left.
