Eastern State Penitentiary is having a dance party next Saturday. I have some mixed feelings about this. I am a bit bummed out that I only heard of this just today. My schedule is already booked so I can’t go. The pricing also doesn’t work for me. I am allergic to all alcohol, so I hate the idea of having to pay for an open bar that I can’t use. I know that it’s a fundraiser, but a non-alcoholic option where you’d just get tours or something would make it more appealing to me.
I hope that they continue to do this and add a “no alcohol” pricing tier to it. I’d like to try it.
Here is the info if you happen to be in Philadelphia next Saturday:
Dance in the crumbling cellblocks of this abandoned prison, once the most famous and expensive in the world. Beats by DJ Phsh, beer by Yards, wine by Paris Wine Bar, cocktails featuring Bluecoat gin and Penn 1681 vodka, and food by Jack’s Firehouse. The prison doors will open and iron gates close. Curious adventures await….
